About Angela May Smith

I was born in 1965 in a market town of St. Neots in Cambridgeshire. I have always been keen on painting but it was only when I started experimenting with Pastels 9 years ago I decided to concentrate on this medium.

I have been to many places to photograph wildlife which has enabled me over time to capture that 'perfect shot’, to then translate this on to art paper.

My work has been displayed at many art exhibitions around the country and I am now becoming recognised nationally for my fine detailed pastel coloured and charcoal artwork of wildlife animals.

My latest achievement is becoming a finalist once again in the David Shepherd Wildlife Annual Competition that is held at the Mall Gallery London each June.
